Privacy Policy
How we collect, use and protect personal information relating to shipments, enquiries and use of this website.
Last updated:
1. Overview
This policy explains how AirFreight Courier (“we”, “us”) handles personal information when you use our website, book a shipment, track a delivery or contact our team. We collect only what we need to move packages reliably and to answer your enquiries.
By using our website or services you agree to the practices described here. If you do not agree with any part of this policy, please contact us before using the service.
2. Information we collect
We collect the following categories of information:
- Shipment information — sender and recipient names, phone numbers, email addresses, pickup and delivery addresses, and a description of the package contents.
- Contact enquiries — the name, email address, phone number, subject and message you submit through our contact form.
- Tracking activity — the tracking numbers looked up on our website, along with technical request data used to prevent abuse of the tracking endpoint.
- Technical information — IP address, browser type and pages visited, collected to keep the service secure and available.
We do not collect payment card details on this website. No payments are processed through our website or web application at any point.
3. How we use your information
We use personal information to:
- collect, transport and deliver shipments, and to confirm delivery;
- send transactional notifications about a shipment — creation, pickup, status changes, out for delivery, delivery and failed delivery attempts;
- issue invoices and maintain accurate records of the services we have provided;
- respond to enquiries, quotes and support requests;
- investigate delivery incidents, losses and complaints;
- protect our service against fraud, abuse and unauthorised access.
We do not sell personal information, and we do not use shipment data for advertising or profiling.
4. Public shipment tracking
Anyone holding a valid tracking number can view the status of that shipment without signing in. To protect the people involved, the public tracking page deliberately shows a reduced set of information: the shipment status, the last reported location, the pickup and destination cities, the estimated delivery date and the journey history.
It does not show phone numbers, email addresses, full street addresses, delivery charges, internal notes or the identity of the staff member who recorded an update. Tracking lookups are rate limited to prevent tracking numbers being guessed at scale.
5. Location information
Shipment locations shown on our website are recorded by our operations staff at checkpoints along the route. They describe where the package is — not where any person is.
We do not track courier devices, we do not collect GPS data from mobile phones, and our website does not request access to your device location.
7. How long we keep information
Shipment records, tracking history and invoices are retained for as long as required for operational, accounting and legal purposes. Tracking history is kept in full and is never edited retrospectively — corrections are recorded as new entries so the record stays complete.
Contact enquiries are retained while we handle your request and for a reasonable period afterwards for reference. Technical logs are retained for a short period for security monitoring.
8. How we protect your information
Access to shipment and customer data is restricted to authorised staff, controlled by role and recorded in an audit log. Administrative sessions use secure, HTTP-only cookies, and passwords are stored using modern one-way hashing. Data is transmitted over encrypted connections.
No system is perfectly secure, but we work to industry standards and review our controls regularly.
9. Your rights
Subject to applicable law, you may ask us to:
- provide a copy of the personal information we hold about you;
- correct information that is inaccurate or incomplete;
- delete information we no longer have a lawful reason to keep;
- stop sending you non-essential communications.
Some information cannot be deleted on request where we are required to retain it — for example, shipment and invoice records kept for accounting purposes.
11. Children's privacy
Our services are intended for business and adult personal use. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, contact us and we will remove it.
12. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time to reflect changes in our services or legal obligations. The date at the top of this page shows when it was last revised. Material changes will be highlighted on this page.
